Programme Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a multi-workstream transformation programme for a client in London. You will take ownership of delivery across several projects, reporting to the programme sponsor and working closely with senior stakeholders.

This is a contract engagement on a hybrid basis, with regular time on site in central London.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the programme from mobilisation through to delivery, owning the integrated plan.
• Establish and run proportionate programme governance and reporting.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change control across workstreams.
• Define, track and report benefits with business owners.
• Lead and coordinate project managers and workstream leads.
• Prepare clear papers and updates for boards and steering groups.

What you will bring

• Substantial experience leading complex programmes in a comparable environment.
• A recognised qualification such as MSP or PRINCE2, or equivalent experience.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and handling competing priorities.
• Strong planning, financial control and reporting skills.
• Experience of both waterfall and Agile delivery approaches.

About the engagement

The initial contract term is [X] months, with the possibility of extension. The day rate is [£X–£X per day]. IR35 status will be determined by the client and confirmed before engagement. Hybrid working with [X] days per week on site.
