Securing a place on a public sector framework

An illustrative engagement in which we managed and wrote a framework bid for a professional services supplier with a tight submission deadline.

Engagement detail

01The challenge

The client wanted to join a public sector framework but had no dedicated bid team and limited experience of formal tenders.

The tender had a short deadline, multiple lots and detailed quality questions with strict word limits and evaluation criteria.

Evidence of past performance, social value and policy compliance was spread across the business and not ready for submission.

02Our approach

We ran a bid/no-bid assessment, agreed which lots to pursue, and set a bid plan with clear owners and review dates.

Our Bid Manager and Bid Writer developed win themes, gathered evidence and drafted responses to each quality question.

We ran pink, red and gold team reviews, completed final compliance checks, managed submission and analysed the buyer’s debrief.

03Results

  • Appointed to [X] of [X] lots pursued
  • Quality score of [X]% against the evaluation criteria
  • Submitted [X] days ahead of the deadline
  • Reusable bid library of [X] approved responses created
