Building an international team across three markets
An illustrative engagement in which we recruited a multi-country team to support expansion into continental Europe, alongside UK hires.
Engagement detail
01The challenge
The client needed to hire specialist technical and commercial staff in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK within a fixed expansion timeline.
It had limited knowledge of local salary levels, hiring practice and candidate expectations in each new market.
A mix of permanent and contract roles required clear, compliant engagement terms, including IR35 status determinations for UK contractors.
02Our approach
We mobilised a managed resourcing team led by an Account Director, with International Market Leads for each country.
We mapped each market, advised on salary benchmarks and hiring norms, and ran structured shortlisting and assessment against a shared brief.
Our Compliance & Onboarding Lead managed right-to-work checks, references and onboarding, and supported the client through IR35 status determinations.
03Results
- [X] roles filled across [X] countries within [X] weeks
- Average time to shortlist of [X] days
- [X]% of placements retained after [X] months
- Offer acceptance rate of [X]%

Engagement summary
This illustrative engagement shows how we build teams across borders. A single account team owns the hiring programme, supported by market leads who understand local practice, so the client receives consistent quality and compliant placements in every country.
